About 15 years ago, I took a friend’s recommendation and called Lisa Hall. What happened next truly changed my life.

best horse for you. She has experience and a quest for knowledge that will keep your lessons fresh and innovative. She has the patience to work with someone feeling challenged and the ear to listen to your goals. 

Whether you have been in the show ring a thousand times or just want to ride your horse better at home, she’s the safest bet you’ll make. I have progressed as a

dressage rider more than I ever thought I would and continue to do so!

  I began taking lessons with Lisa in late 2019 with my AQHA Appendix. With a goal of competing in Beginner Novice Eventing, I knew next to nothing about Dressage and my horse was initially trained as an AQHA Hunter Under Saddle horse. Through Lisa's guidance and training, we were able to earn our Bronze Medal, win both the Amateur and Open AQHA All-Breed awards in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for First, Second, and Third level respectively, and earn Silver Medal qualifying scores at Fourth Level. We are currently schooling Prix St. Georges. Lisa's ability to communicate feel for different movements between dressage and jumping/cross country has improved our success in all three phases in eventing and helped us to move up to the Modified level. Beyond this, Lisa also created my Second and Third Level freestyle choreography, earning high marks for the Choreography and Level of Difficulty sections. She recognized which movements were mine and my horse's strongest and was sure to incorporate those into our freestyle in a way that truly showed them off. Most importantly, Lisa ALWAYS puts the horse's wellbeing before all else. I've seen many instances where Lisa advocates for the horses that she is working with and ensures that they are physically feeling their best before asking them for high performance. It is obvious that the horses know this too because they all are excited to see her when she walks into the barn.  

I can’t say enough about how special Full Circle is. From the moment you walk through the doors, it feels like home — peaceful, welcoming, and full of people who truly care. The horses couldn’t be happier: big fields to run and play in, thoughtful feed management, and an arena that is so bright and beautiful it inspires you the second you step inside. 

But the real heart of Full Circle is the people. Lisa Hall (USDF bronze, silver, and gold medalist) is not just an incredible trainer, she’s someone who truly sees both horse and rider. I briefly met Lisa back in 2021 and it wasn’t until the winter of 2023 that I reunited with her after deciding to make a discipline change to dressage — and here I am, almost two years later, with more knowledge and growth than I ever could have imagined. 

With Lisa and barn manager Elgin leading the way, this facility is everything I could ever ask for, professional, family-like, and absolutely devoted to happy, healthy horses. I’m so grateful to call it my barn. 

I am truly grateful Full Circle Dressage is a truly special place where the art of classical dressage is honored and every horse is celebrated. With the guidance of Lisa Hall — a gifted trainer, mentor, and friend — the journey of training my young horse has begun. I cannot imagine walking this path without her, Elgin, or my Full Circle friends. I am immensely grateful.
